With a pool table, table football, and archery, there’s plenty to keep the kids happy, and outdoor meals will be easy thanks to two alfresco dining tables, a barbecue, and an outdoor oven. The layout here won’t suit everyone – the home is spread over several floors and one of the staircases is open – and the traditional decor won’t be to everyone’s tastes, but it’s a great option for those seeking a house with personality. Location-wise, you’re in the village of Massa e Cozzile, with Lucca, Pisa, and Versilia within driving distance for day trips.

*This home comprises a main house and a barn, rented as one. At full occupancy, three guests will be sleeping on two sofa beds in the living area.
*The swimming pool is only available for use between 15 May and 30 September. It isn’t fenced so children will need to be supervised at all times.
*Your host can provide a cot for free. You'll need to request it in advance and bring your own linen.
*One well-behaved dog is welcome to join you – breed and size restrictions may apply, so please check with your host before your stay.
*Air conditioning is only available in two of the rooms.
