Description Corinthian: Madrid

This is a big and cleverly laid-out home that impressed us with how quiet it was – in spite of the fact that it's in the strictest centre of Madrid. Both Puerta del Sol and the Prado are within walking distance, setting you up for great sightseeing walks. Corinthian gives the impression of old-timey grandeur. It's not a scratch-free home, but one that feels lived in and furnished with a personality. The high ceiling and use of wood in almost every room give it a warm and welcoming vibe.

* When we visited, the WiFi only worked in the living room* There is no elevator to this fourth floor home - those with limited mobility or heavy suitcases take note
* We're admittedly quite picky, but the kitchen appliances weren't up to our standard
* While this home can accommodate up to six guests, the fifth and sixth will be sleeping on a sofa bed in the living room
