Inside, exposed beam ceilings, wood floors and colourful decor set a welcoming scene in the open-plan living area. We love the funky art prints decking the walls and the large windows giving way to leafy views. The dining table is perfectly set up here to catch the rays pouring through the glass, over a hearty breakfast before a day of sightseeing, or over a bottle of Spanish red for a celebratory evening meal.

The pared-back bedroom is a comfortable space you’ll have no trouble falling asleep in, and in the morning, the bathroom’s rainfall shower is sure to get your day off on the right.

When you’re ready to venture out for a day of fun, you’ll find plenty to see and do within easy walking distance. Make your way to nearby Puerta del Sol, or head to Plaza Mayor – one of the city’s most famous squares lined with restaurants. You’re also a nine-minute walk from bustling Gran Vía, a fifteen-minute stroll from the Royal Palace of Madrid, while pretty El Retiro Park is twenty minutes away on foot.
