Close to some of Lyon's best museums, this modern home is the perfect base for a couple, solo traveller or even a small family. Set in a new, well-equipped building in the heart of the Monplaisir district, it's the easy option if you want to unpack and start exploring. The big windows mean it's a bright and cheerful space, with contemporary furnishings and a striking Lyon city skyline mural on one wall. The open layout of the living area makes it a sociable place to cook, eat or relax, while the bedroom is quiet and comfortable. Head out the door and you'll find the main shopping district of Lyon, and it couldn't get more convenient, with a mini-market in front of the apartment. There are easy public transport links and it's just steps from the Lumière Museum, in the former home of the inventors of cinema.
