The cottage is peacefully tucked away within a woodland location where you access the ancient forest on foot or by bike. To the rear of the cottage, you can access the main family cycle path and follow the route to the Cannop Cycle Centre where the more adventurous can take advantage of the many downhill trails. On foot, you can follow the well marked pathways across to Mallards Pike a lake rich in beauty and wildlife and home to Go Ape. You are also within easy reach of the Wye Valley, great for rock climbing, river walks, kayaking and caving. Other attractions include Hopewell Colliery, Goodrich Castle, Clearwell Caves, Beechenhurst, The Dean Heritage Centre, Puzzlewood, Perrygrove Railway, the Sculpture Trail and Cyril Hart Arboretum. Enjoying a rural location and set within a terrace of forest cottages, this is a place where you can step back in time and relax. The entrance to the cottage is to the rear of the terrace, where you can step into the small lobby which has space for coats and boots along with a cloakroom. From here you will enter the kitchen/diner, a warm and welcoming space finished with free standing pine furniture that is sympathetic to the cottage. The kitchen is well equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. The cupboards are well stocked with a colourful collection of china and utensils for home cooking. For dining, a table and chairs for four sits to the side, complemented by a pine dresser finished with a cake stand and colourful tins. The lounge is to the front of the cottage, a light and spacious room with French doors, a wood burner for chilly evenings in and a TV. The stairs are accessed via a wooden door and lead to the first floor where you will find two bedrooms full of character. To the front of the cottage, a spacious double room enjoys views across the gardens, and to the rear, a twin room has views out across the woodland. There is a bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC. Outside the front of the cottage, a patio area offers a space to relax and enjoy a morning coffee. If you are early enough, you may be joined by a deer or two. There are sun loungers for lazy afternoons along with a small wildlife pond finished with a wrought iron surround. To the rear of the cottage is an established lawn. There is roadside parking to the rear of the cottage.
