Coral Sunrise

Just six minutes on foot from Praia da Luz's sandy beach, this coral-coloured home is perfectly positioned for exploring. Those in the know flock to Luz for a more laid-back Algarve atmosphere. There's a family-friendly shoreline, an array of delicious local restaurants and a few wine bars in the centre, yet buzzing Lagos is only a thirteen-minute drive (or thirty-minute bus ride away), so you'll have the best of both worlds.

Set all on one level, this home is an excellent option for families – your host can even arrange kid-friendly extras like toys, games and babysitter recommendations if the grown-ups fancy a night on the town. The living space is decked out in cool hues to mimic the coastal setting, while the open layout makes socialising together as a group a breeze. You can rustle up a tasty dinner in the kitchen, or take advantage of the Algarve's gorgeous weather and grill up a storm in the garden. The wrap-around terrace is our favourite spot – protected from the sun, it's the ideal setting for alfresco dinners and a glass of Vinho Verde as the sun goes down.
