Description
Waltz on the Wharf: London

Sitting on the banks of the Thames within a gated riverside development, this elegant apartment offers a calm and stylish stay away from the tourist crowds. Laid out over two floors, there’s ample room to socialise in the upstairs living area and downstairs dining room, while the bedrooms with their plush en-suites ensure everyone has their own privacy to relax.
We love the careful eye for design that’s been given to this polished apartment. The building’s former life as a marble warehouse can still be seen in the home’s wonderfully large Crittall windows that allow plenty of light to pour into the living room, while luxuriously modern furnishings and 21st-century appliances (like a wine fridge and underfloor heating) add a touch of dazzle to the proceedings. The upstairs desk space is a particular favourite of ours with its glass floor cut-out that lets you look down into the show-stopping dining room below, as well as the glass doors here that give way to a small outdoor area – perfect for letting the breeze flow in from the river on balmy afternoons.
When you’re not hanging out in your privileged pad, take a stroll along the Thames towards Hammersmith Bridge (a fourteen-minute walk) or hop on the bus to discover South Kensington’s world-class museums (thirty minutes away). You’re also a ten-minute walk from Craven Cottage where you can join the fans in cheering on Fulham FC, while plenty of cosy pubs, coffee shops and restaurants are within easy walking distance of your front door.
Home truths:
*It's laid out over two floors with internal stairs between them – the living area and bedrooms are on the ground floor and the kitchen-dining area is on the lower ground floor
*Access to the Thames riverside is done via a code or a fob for the controlled gates
*You'll have access to a 24-hour maintenance service
*The building's entrance is communal
*This area of London isn't as well connected by public transport as some, but Barons Court station is a nineteen-minute walk away
*If you’re arriving outside of office hours (Monday to Friday 9 am - 6 pm), you'll need to collect the keys for the home from an alternative location in Mayfair – please contact your host for further information
*The lead guest must be 25 years or older
