Pretty in Palm: London

Located in White City House – which occupies part of the former BBC Television Centre – and benefitting from a multitude of its perks, this curious, creative, and characterful space is perfect for someone looking for a touch of exclusivity in their stay.
Those with Soho House membership can make full use of the building’s 22,000 sq ft gym, with classes and sauna, the cinema, restaurant, rooftop bar and pool, work spaces, dry cleaning services, and lifestyle concierge; the list goes on. And for those without membership, these facilities all become available after a stay of three months or longer.
Inside the apartment, we love the flamboyant colour scheme, the palm print wallpaper, as well as all the personal details – the vintage sewing machine that used to belong to the host’s mother is a favourite.
Back outside you will find private access to Hammersmith Park with its beautiful Japanese gardens, children’s playground and water feature. Why not go out for a bike ride to explore the local area – the iconic Portobello Road in Notting Hill is but an eleven minute cycle away, and there’s a bike storage room to secure your wheels at the close of day.
Home truths:
*There is step-free access up to the apartment
*The balcony is a nice feature, but it doesn’t have the nicest view (it’s of a train track)
*Guest three would be on a sofa bed in the living room
*There’s a pool, gym, and full concierge service, but you can only access these extras if you’re staying for a longer period (minimum three months)
*Even though Shepherd’s Bush is well-connected by way of the underground, it isn’t central London – guests looking to stay in the middle of the action should look elsewhere
