Sitting peacefully, in amongst one of Scotland's most historical landscapes, is this delightful cottage. Located in a magical looking woodland, in a quiet and secluded location, visitors will feel far removed from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Experience total relaxation during down time at the stone built house or head outdoors for a day of adventure nearby. Just 1.5 miles from the doorstep is Achnabreac, a site that's home to one of the finest set of pre historic cup and ring marked rocks in Britain. It is also an adrenaline junkie's playground with an awesome mountain biking trail on offer. There's plenty to do moments from this property including boating on the Crinan Canal and visiting ruined landmarks including Castle Sween and Carnasserie Castle. This bright and airy holiday home is filled with natural light making every room feel extremely welcoming. Step into the large entrance porch and into the hallway before exploring the spacious rooms that await you. Walk three steps down into the open plan lounge/kitchen/diner: a fantastic area for socialising with friends or family. Light the cosy wood burner during a relaxing evening indoors or open the French doors and discover a glorious decked balcony with stunning views across the village of Cairnbaan. The kitchen is well equipped with the essentials to cook scrummy meals during your stay and even comes with a washing machine. Enjoy dinner at the dining table before retiring to the comfy chairs in the lounge area. When it's time for bed, choose from a Super King or Twin room, both located up three stairs. An ensuite with shower alongside bathroom with a shower over the bath, and a separate WC, complete the property. A decked balcony with garden furniture is a wonderful place to enjoy a morning cup of coffee or celebratory drink. Outside the cottage, a steep path leads down to a loch, which was once the site of a 19th century slate quarry. Young children must be supervised on this path.
