  • "We had an absolutely wonderful stay!"

    The weather really made our few days away so great! It was lovely watching the animals on the farm and the wildlife from the hot tub (which was much hotter the second night!) The welcome snacks were a great bonus and greatly enjoyed! Thank you :)

Settled in a stunning rural location at the furthest point of the Nantcol Valley, on the outskirts of Llanbedr in Gwynedd, overlooking Drws Ardudwy and the Ardudwy Way, is this fantastic shepherd’s hut, Llethr - Shepherds Hut.

Boasting a superb location within the renowned Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park with easy access to Coed Y Brenin Forest Park and the beautiful Morfa Dyffryn, Llethr - Shepherds Hut is an idyllic setting for escaping reality, switching off from the outside world and exploring the delights of North Wales with your loved one.

Park up in your off-road parking space, before unloading your bags and taking in your peaceful surroundings, with only two other shepherds huts within the exclusive gated site.

Be welcomed into the open-plan living space, where you can look forward to rustling up mouth-watering meals in the well-equipped kitchen, before dining with your loved one at the dining table for two or out in the private garden at the lovely picnic bench on warmer days; why not utilise the tripod grill for the firepit to cook up a storm on the barbeque?

After dinner, change into your swimming costume and indulge in a blissful soak in the wood-fired hot tub as you enjoy an evening under the stars.

As the evening cools, retreat inside where the underfloor heating and woodburning stove is sure to keep you toasty; contemporary USB plugs provide power to charge up your smart devices to ensure you don't miss a second of your favourite Netflix shows.

Freshen up with a revitalising shower and a mug of hot chocolate, before popping on your pyjamas and climbing into the sumptuous double bed to catch your rest ahead of a day of adventures.

Take a scenic stroll through the grounds of the farm and immerse yourself in the fascinating historical connections, once home to Colnel John Jones was brought up here, the brother-in-law to renowned English general Oliver Cromwell.

Explore your local surroundings, where you will find some of the most picturesque scenery in the area!

The magical trails leading to the summit of Rhinog Fach, Rhinog Fawr, Moelfre and Y Llethr offer ample hiking opportunities for the avid outdoor adventurer, or for a more leisurely stroll, wander along the banks of Cwm Bychan lake idyllically positioned in the next valley.

A short drive away is the village of Llandbedr, where you will find the welcoming Victoria Inn for a traditional pub lunch set along the Afon Artro, ideal for those evenings where you don’t feel like cooking!

For the thrill-seekers in your party, the marvellous Snowdonia Flight School is nearby, where you can book a flying lesson or skydiving experience, sure to be the talk of your trip.

If you’re looking for something more relaxing, why not head to Morfa Dyffryn, a beautiful beach with golden sands that stretch for miles, here you can kick-back and relax with your favourite book.

If you can tear yourself away, Harlech is nearby with its own extensive beach as well as its remarkable medieval castle which frequently holds events.

Venture over to Barmouth where you can embark on the Panorama Walk, laze on Traeth Abermaw Beach touring the vibrant pier speckled with amusements, or catch a ferry from the terminal over to Fairbourne, where the magnificent Penygader mountain peak can easily be accessed, offering stunning lake and valley views.

The pretty village of Llanbedr quietly nestles in ancient woodland between The Rhinogs, part of the Eryri (Snowdonia) Mountains, and the stunning golden beaches of the North Wales coastline. Situated next to the beautiful River Artro, and boasting a mild climate due to its unusual positioning behind the high dunes of a nature reserve, this charming village has an exciting array of wildlife and birds, handy local shops, bike hire and mountain walks on your doorstep, as well as two excellent pubs. The small town of Harlech is just 3 miles away and boasts the World Heritage Site of Harlech Castle, a majestic 13th century stronghold, the most impressive of all those built in North Wales by Edward I. Popular with golfers due to its famous Royal St. David's course, Harlech also boasts an excellent variety of amenities including some good quality restaurants and the most magnificent six-mile long sandy beach, perfect for wonderful walks and family fun. Nearby Barmouth offers the amazing Panorama Walk along the beautiful Mawddach Estuary, providing breathtaking vistas, which were described by John Ruskin as “the most sublime view in Europe” and also a harbour from which you can catch a ferry to Fairbourne for a ride on the miniature railway, or a boat trip out to sea to try mackerel fishing.
