Take in the wonderful views over the Aravis mountains from this apartment’s south-facing balcony. Inside this bright second-floor apartment, the ceilings in the bedrooms are on the low side, so this place might not be suitable for taller guests. There’s a compact, well-equipped kitchen here, or you can take a seven-minute walk to the village of La Clusaz. Here, you’ll find an array of restaurants, shops, and bars, as well as a weekly market, an ice rink and an outdoor heated pool. There’s also a shuttle bus stop just 150 metres from the door, and for skiing, the ski bus stops just 300 metres away.

Paris is, of course, the country’s glittering centrepiece but there are countless beauty spots worth discovering outside of the City of Light. Sun yourself...
