One of two adjacent holiday cottages, Tack Bothy is set in a designated Local Wildlife Site by Shropshire Wildlife Trust, with uninterrupted countryside views. Located in Beguildy with pub and shop, close to medieval Clun, the historic market towns Ludlow and Knighton, spa town Llandrindod Wells and Newtown on the banks of the River Severn. Roam the 43 acres of grounds and join Glyndwr s Way National Trail, Offa s Dyke or one of the many footpaths and cycle routes to discover the majestic Welsh countryside and rolling Shropshire Hills. The area offers a plethora of activities, eateries, independent shops, museums and galleries. Explore the Observatory Spaceguard Centre, The National Cycle Museum and many National Trust properties to name but a few of the attractions. The cottage is one of two adjacent cottages, that if booked together could provide accommodation for 4 people. The cottages are found at the top of a private drive, where there is no passing people or traffic, just sheep and wildlife. Children and dogs are allowed to roam freely and safely in the acre of fenced in garden. Guests and their dogs are free to wander around the 43 acres of grounds. There are many walks directly from the property, without having to drive anywhere. There is total peace and solitude, with fresh mountain air and pure spring water on tap. The property has been lovingly refurbished in 2017. This quirky, compact and cosy studio style accommodation is a modestly converted bothy with beautiful exposed beams, unique windows and interesting features. The building is small, at 17 feet x 11 feet, but packs in all that you need for a comfortable stay. The open plan lounge/kitchen/dining/sleeping area has a comfortable double bed and a folding table and chairs which are just perfect for breakfast or a game of cards or watch the Smart TV with Netflix. The creatively designed kitchen area has a small induction hob, fridge, microwave oven, slow cooker, air fryer, with lovely views towards the stream and rolling countryside. The shower room has a shower and WC and dry off with fluffy towels as you plan your day s activities. Outside the front door, the private hot tub is waiting for you, alongside the table and chairs and BBQ to enjoy alfresco dining within a fenced garden. Private parking for two cars is available at the property. A shared Pump House has a washing machine and tumble dryer, and a bicycle and canoe store is available. (Additional accommodation for 2 available in Tack Cottage property code 51898 for families or groups)
