Knaresborough, with its dramatic position perched on top of the cliffs overlooking the River Nidd, and the majestic Victorian viaduct spanning the gorge, this location is simply charming. Walk along Waterside and hire a boat, or simply just watch the world go by in one of the cafes along the riverbank. England s oldest attraction, Mother Shipton s Cave, is also right by the side of the river. The 12th century castle ruins and museum are also worth a visit along with the stunning Bebra gardens with summer paddling pool. A short drive away is Harrogate, home to Bettys Tea Rooms, Turkish Baths and the stunning Valley Gardens as well offering an elegant mix of boutiques and galleries, not to mention the vast selection of eateries. As you approach the property, via its own pathway to the front door, you will instantly feel welcome. As you enter, hang your coats up it s time to relax as you head through to the cosy lounge, where you can enjoy an open fire on a chilly evening, here you can play games, watch a film on the Smart TV or a DVD or simply plan the next day s activities.
