Nestled in the glorious Glen Clova just a few miles from the historic town of Kirriemuir (10 miles), this beautiful cottage is an outdoor enthusiast's paradise. The surrounding Glens offers some of Scotland's most unspoiled landscapes, perfect for hiking, mountain biking, and cross country skiing. Nearby, the majestic Munros of Mayer and Dreish loom large, while the Glen Doll Forest and Corrie Fee Nature Reserve offer well marked trails and natural wonders. The River Esk provides opportunities for trout and salmon fishing. Kirriemuir, is a charming red sandstone town, home to JM Barrie's birthplace, Glamis Castle is 14 miles, and the Pictish Stones at Meigle 19 miles. The vibrant cities of Dundee, and Aberdeen are also within easy reach, offering excellent shopping and leisure facilities. A pub and restaurant (please check for serving times seasonally), are conveniently located just 4.5 miles down the glen making this cottage an ideal base for your holiday. This spacious cottage offers a light and airy ambiance to match its unspoiled surroundings. Arriving at the side of the property there is a small entrance hall that leads directly into the dining/kitchen area, modern and open plan with dining for 4 people which leads into the open plan lounge sitting room, with a comfortable sofa with Smart TV and wood burner perfect for cosy nights or chillier months. Access to the hallway can be via the lounge door or kitchen all linking to access the bedrooms and bathroom. The bathroom has a large walk in shower and WC. The washing machine is also located here in a Scandinavian style. There are two comfortable bedrooms with double beds, one to the front of the property and one to the rear. Apart from a couple of steps at the side door, this is a super accessible property for anyone with mobility issues. The outside patio can be accessed from the front door in the hallway which leads directly onto the large, raised patio area offering fabulous countryside views, with outdoor dining seating and a fire pit. A great spot to enjoy an espresso in the morning. The garden is not fully enclosed as there is access on the shared driveway for another cottage which sits about 100 metres back.
