Stepping out the front door, a plethora of walks are available for two and four legged guests to enjoy. The fantastic Blakey Ridge is 8 miles away and rewards ramblers with spectacular views, and 28 miles away you can breathe in the salty, sea air at Scarborough. Less than 10 miles, both Helmsley and Pickering offer a number of cafes and shops to peruse at your leisure. For an evening of fine wine and tantalising food, stroll the few hundred yards to the Royal Oak, a 17th century inn. Laid out across one level, this delightful bolthole oozes peace and tranquillity. With flagstone flooring and lots of light, the open plan lounge/kitchen/diner has both a spacious yet inviting feel. Kitted out with a toasty wood burner and snuggly throws, many a relaxed morning and cosy evening can be spent in the lounge.
