This rather splendid house sits right on the seafront at Kingsdown Beach, looking out over the pebbles and across the water to the horizon. It's a magnificent spot for a holiday home and, if you can tear your eyes away from the view, there's plenty more to love inside too. The living area is exactly what you'd want from a seaside hideaway – a cosy space with a good selection of books and a plush green velvet sofa where you can relax between your adventures. The kitchen is equally homely, with a long table where you can gather together for tasty meals and a collection of artworks on the walls. Upstairs, each bedroom has its very own bath, ideal for luxurious soaks, and the balcony is the perfect spot for morning coffees in the sunshine. The garden has both a decked terrace and an outdoor fireplace, where you can huddle around and share stories after dark. By day, we recommend taking a bracing walk along to St Margaret’s Bay, followed by a pint in the local pub, or driving along the coast to visit the neighbouring town of Deal – it's just ten minutes away.
