Nestled in the Newlands Valley, this lovely reverse layout cottage is a wonderful home from home. It has beautiful views of the impressive landscape, including Skiddaw, and guests can access other popular mountains such as Catbells, Barrow and Causey Pike via the private path through the woods. Keswick and its independent shops and eateries is only 4 miles away and sits at the northern end of Derwentwater which offers a range of boats to hire. For something more adrenaline filled, head to Whinlatter Forest Park (4 miles) which has trails for walkers and cyclists, activities and play areas for kids of all ages, a Go Ape! and a lovely cafe. Further afield, you can venture to Bassenthwaite Lake, Grasmere or Ambleside all popular with visitors. Originally a corn mill, this modern country cottage is now bright and airy throughout, with wonderful gardens and woodland to explore. As you enter, you ll find yourself in the long entrance hall which has lots of hanging room for wet outdoor clothes. There is also a utility room out in the shed, should you need to wash and dry gear ready for your next adventure. Two of the bedrooms are on the ground floor (a double and a twin), both of which are light and spacious with views of the garden and surrounding countryside. Upstairs on the first floor, there is a further double bedroom as well as the open plan lounge/kitchen/diner which is double aspect to allow you to make the most of the views. There is ample seating for everyone in the lounge and at the dining table, whilst the modest kitchen has everything you ll need to cook up some treats, including an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave, and a large freestanding fridge and freezer. Completing the accommodation is a family bathroom with shower over the bath and WC, and a shower room with WC, both of which are a good size. Outside, there is plenty to explore. There are gardens to the front (shared) and rear. The rear garden leads down to the private woodland, its millpond (unfenced, so children must be supervised) and the private path that leads out into the Cumbrian countryside. Closer to the cottage, there is a patio with dining furniture and a few picnic benches dotted around for al fresco dining on warmer evenings. A BBQ is available in the shed, along with a washer/dryer. There is ample parking on the shared driveway.
