This busy market town offers many a good restaurant, traditional pubs full of character and an assortment of galleries, artisan and boutique shops. There is a strong focus on outdoor activities in the area from fishing through to horse racing with a good measure of dogs and agriculture thrown into the mix. For the keen golfer there are two good course nearby Kelso Golf Club and the Championship course at Roxburghe. Other attractions close by include Heatherslaw light railway, the jail at Jedburgh Castle, the race course at Kelso and the Teviot Smokery and Water Gardens to name but a few. In the evening why not stroll into the town and enjoy a meal or a glass of wine after a busy day. The front hallway leads you into the traditional and charming period cottage, to the light and bright lounge with TV and DVD player, electric effect wood burner; a selection of DVDs, books, games and dining space with seating for five, from here you enter the well equipped kitchen with gas oven and hob, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher and fridge/freezer, with access out to the church square. Heading up the cottage stairs you are met with the stylish bathroom with free standing roll top bath and separate shower cubicle and WC. Next to the bathroom, also on the first floor is the double bedroom, with DAB radio and lovely views overlooking St. Andrews Church. Continuing up the traditional winding stairs to the second floor you are met with a charming twin bedroom. Venturing outside there is a lovely cobbled area with seating at the front of the house, overlooking the delightful church square where you can sit and watch the world go by whilst having a drink, catching up and deciding what to do tomorrow!
