This Ithacan home offers a fuss-free, no-frills attached coastal getaway. The traditional interiors may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but this home caught our eye because of its location. Stand on the terrace, gazing out across the Ionian Sea to Meganissi and the mountains of northern Greece and trust us, you’ll understand. Whether you’re dining alfresco or soaking up the sun on a lounger, the view is something you’ll never tire of. You can dip your toes into the coastal waters in a three-minute stroll, or it’s just ten minutes on foot to Frikes with its selection of harbourside tavernas for a bite to eat.

The décor is very simple and generic and the aesthetics are not quite up to Plum Guide's usual standards – we've made an exception to let this one into the collection on account of its great location in Ithaca
