This cosy cottage adjoins the farmhouse and is set within 150 acres of farmland bordering the River Tamar. Nestled in a rural location on the outskirts of the market town of Holsworthy, 5 miles away with shops, supermarkets, pubs, cafes, a bank and post office. Located on the border close to Bude, 8 miles away it s ideally positioned for exploring both Devon and Cornwall. You will be within easy reach of the many popular Cornish beaches , sheltered coves and surfing shops. Boscastle (19.5 miles),Tintagel (23 miles) and Port Issac (28 miles) are also easily accessible for days out. If course fishing is what you are looking for there are well stocked fishing lakes less than a mile away at a neighbouring farm. This family run farm offers a retreat for couples or families with the chance to sample Devon farming life. Stepping into this delightful cottage on the ground floor you will find the well equipped kitchen/diner with everything you need to cook up a delicious meal to enjoy together around the dining table. The cosy lounge is welcoming after a busy day exploring the countryside with exposed beams, a comfortable sofa and chairs to relax on. You could spend your evening choosing from the large collection of board games and extensive DVD/Blu ray library, suitable for all ages, or access your own programmes via the Smart TV. Wi Fi is available throughout the property. Upstairs there is a stylishly decorated double bedroom with king size bed, plus a second bedroom with bunkbeds. The family bathroom is on this floor. There is also a double sofa bed in the lounge should it be needed. Heading outside, there is a private area with garden furniture and a gas BBQ for alfresco suppers, where you can take in the lovely views across open fields. Sit and watch the stunning sunsets and see the stars as you ve never seen them, with the darkness of the countryside. Guests are welcome by arrangement to wander parts of the farm where they can see the small flock of wonderfully mild natured rare breed Devon and Cornwall longwools or the main flock of LLeyn sheep. Between January to March there is the chance to meet the new born lambs. There are also pigmy goats, chicken and ducks. Again, by arrangement, it should be possible to experience the animals in close proximity and even collect eggs from the coup for your breakfast the next day. Dogs are more than welcome on the farm, there are plenty areas to walk and we can often make one of the fields available for sole use so just ask. There is a dog washing station near to the cottage. So, whether it's a couples break or an adventurous family trip, Worthen Farm Cottage caters for all. We look forward to meeting you on your adventure to Devon.
