The Dark Peak is home to exposed moorland, heather moorland and oak birch woodlands and this property has access to some wonderful walks right on its doorstep. Nearby Castleton can be reached in just seven minutes by car and boasts underground caves and the hilltop Peveril Castle. Head to Chapel en le Frith to pick up your groceries for your stay. The property has an upside down layout with the main entrance hallway leading to the two bedrooms. The main bedroom has a stylish iron bed from which stunning valley views can be enjoyed, while the second bedroom has two single beds at either side of a pretty window perfect for families. The rooms share a light and bright family bathroom with a separate walk in shower. Follow the oak staircase up to the first floor and into the spacious open plan kitchen, dining and sitting room, positioned at this height for optimum rural views. This cosy room has a stone floor and features a fireplace with log burning stove around which two large sofas are positioned to take full advantage of its warmth during those chillier evenings. The kitchen area occupies one wall of this room, while a second bathroom with a vaulted beam ceiling can also be found on this floor. Outside is a garden area, which enjoys beautiful morning sunlight perfect for an al fresco breakfast overlooking the valley. *Please note a full basket of logs, kindling and firelighters is provided upon arrival, more can be purchased directly from owner at 7.50 a re fill.
