This is a luxurious Victorian country house set within several acres of smallholding, which incorporates a gorgeous lavender field, woodland walks and is home to some lovely friendly animals that guests can meet and interact with. The interior of this stunning house is stylish with a boutique hotel feel to it. It is positioned in a quiet spot on the spectacular Lizard Peninsula. Within a short drive of a number of spectacular coves and beaches, this is a very special place to stay. The immediate area is steeped in maritime and smuggling history and is renowned for having one of the best climates in England. Head towards the coast and visit ever popular Mullion and beautiful Poldhu Cove (just 1 mile away) as well as a number of quaint fishing villages such as pretty Porthleven and Coverack. You can join the South West Coast Path direct from this property, leading you to find other spots along the gorgeous rugged coastline of Cornwall. Other attractions and places of interest accessible from here and well worth a visit include The Minack Theatre, the National Seal Sanctuary, Flambards Theme Park and The Tate Gallery at St Ives. Further up the A30 you can find The Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan. Stepping into the house through the formal hallway, you can admire the vivid coloured stained glass around the inner entrance. The ground floor consists of a formal dining room complete with bespoke lighting and beautiful table and seating for twelve. Guests can gather in the large double sized living room with a choice of plush sofas. Relax in front of the wood burner which gives a glorious glow in the evenings or on colder wintry days. Perfect for large family get togethers. This house benefits from Smart TVs with Sky (movies and sports package) and also a Sonos music system throughout the downstairs areas. Just along from the dining room you will find a separate cloakroom on the ground floor as well as one of the six gorgeous bedrooms (super king bed zip and link bed and ensuite), perfect for those not wanting to navigate the stairs. The split level kitchen/diner is centred around a large island with induction hob. Other amenities include three ovens, microwave, large fridge/freezer, wine cooler, dishwasher and boiling water tap. There is also another large dining table within this sociable space for less formal family meals. Next to the kitchen is a great utility room housing a washing machine and tumble dryer as well as an additional dishwasher and fridge/freezer with filtered water and ice. This is topped off by the boot room, a place to kick off sandy beach wear and coats. On the first floor are the other 5 bedrooms with lovely countryside views. Many have zip and link beds that can be made into twin beds on request.. All have ensuite bathrooms in different styles as well as up to date technology including Smart TVs and DAB radios. Each bedroom has a personality and design scheme of it s own and all are bathed in gorgeous heritage colours with luxury furnishings and lighting. The master bedroom suite has a super king bed, a dressing room and a stunning bathroom complete with freestanding bath affording views out to the countryside as well as a separate shower. The second bedroom has a wonderful vaulted ceiling and a king size zip and link bed. The third is dual aspect with a super king bed and the fourth a double zip and link bed. The fifth is the largest bedroom and is triple aspect with a super king bed. It has a vaulted ceiling and in one corner has stairs leading down into the kitchen area. Venturing outside, you will find a side patio with a seating/dining area complete with BBQ as well as tiered gardens with views down to the outdoor swimming pool (with WC and changing room). Beyond this is a beautiful valley containing woodland walks, a stream and many paths to explore with plenty of wildlife to discover. Lavender fields line the driveway leading to the house and is in full bloom from June to September, giving a stunning show of colour along with the pretty scent. The sky is particularly clear at night time and perfect for stargazers. Guests can meet the resident horse and sheep as well the curious chickens, with children being able to help feed the animals if they wish. There are also swings and a slide in the grassed play area to keep little ones amused.
