This property enjoys a quiet location down a quiet lane, just a short distance from the village of Hawkshead, which is popular with visitors thanks to its Beatrix Potter Gallery, cosy pubs, and cobbled streets.

There are plentiful enjoyable walks in the area, around the edge of Lake Windermere, in Grizedale Forest and around the attractive lake at Tarn Hows, but for those who want to try more challenging pursuits the mountains are only a short drive away. Entering this cottage, guests ae able to leave coats and shoes in the entrance hall, before going through to the homely lounge/diner with its sofas, chairs, views over the garden, TV, and DVD.
