addremove
The lovely village of Great Ryburgh is ideal for exploring the heart of the Norfolk countryside. There is a Raptor watch point just on the edge of the village where you can regularly spot buzzards, hobbies and sparrowhawks. Nearby are the thriving market towns of Fakenham and Dereham, or you could head to the coast and discover the beaches and quaint harbour towns and resorts of Hunstanton, Wells next the Sea, Sheringham and Brancaster. There are plenty of quaint villages to explore inland including the medieval pilgrim village of Little Walsingham. You will also be ideally situated for enjoying the beautiful Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Among nearby attractions are Holkham Hall, Pensthorpe Natural Park, the Holkham Estate and Sandringham. On entering this delightful country cottage you will find yourself in the light and spacious lounge. With plenty of comfy seating, TV/DVD and a flame effect gas fire set in a large inglenook feature fireplace, the comfortable and welcoming lounge is an ideal space to relax in. Moving into the bright and attractive kitchen/diner you will find a charming dining area for up to eight guests, and the kitchen is fully equipped with an electric oven and hob with extractor, dishwasher, microwave and fridge. A washing machine and freezer are housed in the laundry room at the back of the cottage. There is also a ground floor WC. Steep cupboard stairs lead you up from the lounge to the first floor; please be aware that these are quite steep cottage style stairs with a twist, which may be unsuitable for the elderly or the very young. On the first floor you will find three cosy bedrooms: there s a double room with a king size bed, a twin room and a single room. You will also find a bathroom complete with a free standing roll top bath, double walk in shower, WC and wash hand basin. Please note there are some low ceilings, particularly upstairs. Stepping outside, you will find a lovely, well stocked garden which extends to half an acre, and backs onto the river, lie in the hammock, or sit out on the decking taking in the lovely views and wildlife. There are shrubs and planted beds as well as a well kept lawn. The garden is enclosed and access to the river is through a gate. There is parking off road at the front of the house for two cars.
