A short journey away is the infamous village of Cartmel (2 miles) renowned for its sticky toffee pudding and Michelin Star restaurants. Within walking distance, you can find Holker Hall and Gardens (0.5 miles) which offers beautiful parkland to explore as well as a café and food hall, or only 100 metres away, the local 17th century dog friendly inn has lots to offer. Also, close by, the Ornamental Gardens at Grange over Sands (4 miles), the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway (5 miles), and the tip of Lake Windermere at Newby Bridge (8 miles) all offer a great day of adventure.
