  • "Lovely tranquil location, we were treated to clear starry skies & the northern lights on our last night."

The Fastnet trails are accessible from the door (trailhead at the community center down the road). The house was big and comfortable with a very well equipped kitchen, there was plenty of space for three generations to do their own thing or come together. Bedrooms were well appointed with plenty of bathrooms throughout. The town of Goleen has everything you would need with a shop & pub serving food. This area of west cork is a stunning location. Overall it was a lovely stay between Christmas & new years.

Dear Prof. Buckley, Many thanks for your feedback. We are pleased that you and your family enjoyed your stay at our Coorlacka home as well the amenities of the local area. It was definitely a bonus for you seeing the northern lights but your views would certainly have been helped by the absence of city lights. We look to continue improvements for future guests and hope you may return at a later date.
