Above the farm fields lie sweeping open downlands where sheep graze and you are welcome to walk along the marked trails. From here there are wonderful panoramic views across the Isle of Wight towards the mainland coastline. This is a wonderful area for spotting buzzards, skylarks, red squirrels, owls, woodpeckers and badgers. A ten minute stroll through the beech copse and across the fields leads you to Godshill, a delightful village renowned for its church, thatched cottages and a variety of tea shops, restaurants and pubs. There is also immediate access from the farm courtyard to footpaths and bridleways leading to Appuldurcombe and along the Stenbury Trail to the Ventnor coast. Hop in the car to discover the beautiful sandy beaches of Ventnor, Sandown and Shanklin. This is one of three adjoining south facing cottages which overlook an attractive farm courtyard with Grade II listed barns and a traditional 17th century farmhouse. On entering this bright and welcoming barn conversion you will find yourself in the pretty and spacious lounge/diner, with plenty of comfy seating, Smart TV and a charming dining area which is beside a large feature window and electric fire. Heading into the kitchen you will find it fully equipped with an electric cooker and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. You will also have access to a laundry room shared with the other properties on site, which has a washing machine and a tumble dryer. There is also a ground floor WC. Heading upstairs you will find two cosy bedrooms. There s a step up to the double room and a twin room with feature floor to ceiling beams between the beds and a sloped ceiling on one side. You will also find a bathroom complete with a shower over the bath and a WC which has a sloped ceiling. Stepping outside you will find a delightful fenced patio to the front of the cottage which overlooks a fountain. Garden furniture is provided so you can dine in the sunshine, and there s an open lawn area within a minute s walk of the cottage which is suitable for ball games. Beautiful carpets of bluebells can be a joy to see, in nearby woodland, in late April and early May. From the rear of the cottage there are lovely views stretching across the open fields, to the church tower of Godshill, with St. George s Downs beyond. Car parking spaces are available close to the cottage.
