Historically known for its music festival, the picturesque city is now a major destination for religious tourists and pilgrims, with a wide variety of interesting establishments catering to their needs. Glastonbury Tor, a prominent landmark in the Somerset Levels, is now under the care of the National Trust and dominates the town's skyline. The abbey's ruins provide a fascinating experience within the town, full of history, calm, and serenity. The Somerset Levels feature extensive wetlands that have not been disturbed, making them a haven for a variety of bird species.
