Situated on the slopes of Mount Etna and with stunning views of the volcano and sea, this home is all about the location for us. The traditional interior gives a nod to its 19th-century roots and because of its design, the lower level lacks a bit of natural light. In contrast, sunlight streams into the upstairs space. The generous garden and pool area is sure to be a hit with younger ones, with space to run around while the grown-ups top up their tan. Locally, Mount Etna is just thirty minutes away, so pop it near the top of your must-visit list.

While the kitchen and one bathroom aren't photographed, we expect the style and quality to be consistent with the rest of the home.
If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot and high chair for free. You'll need to request them in advance.
The swimming pool isn't fenced. If you're bringing children, they'll need to be supervised at all times.
There are stairs to climb here, so it may not be suitable for those with limited mobility.
The bedroom curtains don't fully block out the sunlight. If you're hoping to enjoy a lie-in, you might want to pack an eye mask.
