Garstang 2.3 miles. The Hamilton is a multi million pound development and is a grade 2 listed building which dates back to the 1600s. The development now consists of 6 high end luxury apartments in the main residence and three high end barn conversions to the courtyard. The majority of the original features have been kept and restored which was a high importance to the British Heritage Report. The living areas in this home consist of a kitchen/diner with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher, and a sitting room with Smart TV. The bedrooms consist of a double, a double with Smart TV and en-suite, and a twin with en-suite, serviced by a bathroom and a cloakroom. Known locally for its tasty home-grown produce, this small town offers a warm welcome and a wealth of specialist and individual shops where you can pick up a number of treats; don't miss the local cheesemongers for a wedge of fine Lancashire cheese! The street market is held every Thursday, another exciting shopping treat. Running right through the centre of the town is the peaceful Lancaster Canal, where you can watch the passing canal boats cruise by and enjoy the abundance of wildlife it supports.
