The views are breathtaking – not only can you see the sparkling waters of the Atlantic Ocean and the jagged edge of Cabo Girão in the distance, but you'll also have a birds-eye view of the communal pool. Day or night, it's a delightful place to sip coffee or cocktails and rest your feet, breathing in the fresh sea air and watching as the sun dips below the horizon. Inside is just as peaceful as the breezy layout and light-filled living space show off the scenery. Everything is glossy and modern, especially the sleek kitchen, which comes fully equipped to make self-catering easy. We love the quirky palm wallpaper behind the dining table, and the plush sofa is just what you need after a busy day. Speaking of, spend afternoons relaxing by the pool or grab a towel and hit the beach – Praia Formosa's pebbly shore is a thirteen-minute walk away. If you're in the mood to do a bit of shopping, Forum Madeira is a twenty-minutes on foot, while the Promenade do Lido is excellent for evening strolls along the water. There are many world-class restaurants, bars, and cafes nearby, but you can always head into Funchal city centre for more options – it's just a seven-minute drive.
