Sunrise or sunset, the two balconies are the perfect place to bask in the salty air and watch the tide ebb and flow. Enjoy an alfresco breakfast on one, then toast your getaway with a glass of Madeiran wine on the other.

The light-filled living space is also a big hit with us, especially with the doors open wide and the coastal breeze flowing through. Snuggle up for an afternoon snooze on the sofa before heading into the kitchen to show off your culinary skills. Come dinnertime, gather the whole group around the table and dig into a delicious meal made with the freshest produce and seafood.

Of course, with the sea on your doorstep, who can blame you if you spend all your time exploring? Head down to the small sandy beach and swim in the ocean waves, grab a bite to eat at the local restaurants or wander along the promenade towards Funchal's thriving city centre. Don't feel like walking? It's also a short drive away – good thing this pad comes with an on-site parking space.
