Take the short walk to the famous Municipal Theatre of Baltazar Dias, just around a minute away. Or spend the day doing a spot of shopping along the city's leafy boulevards, flexing your cultural muscle whilst perusing some of the many museums, or strolling through the lovely Funchal Marina, perhaps stopping at one of the waterfront restaurants for a sampling of traditional Madeiran cuisine. The Cathedral of Funchal and the tranquil green of Santa Catarina Park area are also within easy reach.
