This elegant apartment is the perfect place to stay in Florence. It’s stylish yet comfortable, housed in a stately building just outside of the historic centre of the city. The apartment has been recently renovated – it’s a beautiful home from home with a grandeur that’s fitting for a city as stunning as Firenze.

The vaulted ceilings with frescoes will make you feel as though you’re staying in one of the grand palazzos of days gone by. Huge windows keep the apartment bright and airy, and modern furnishings mean that although it feels historic, everything you need is right at your fingertips.

In the morning, stroll eight minutes to Giardino della Fortezza to begin your day with a moment of calm. Sip coffee and eat a pastry or two while you plan how you’ll spend your stay. Perhaps you’ll walk first to the Duomo to admire the architecture of the cathedral – it takes fourteen minutes. In the afternoon, after you’ve taken in a museum or a gallery, you might like to hop in a cab to Piazzale Michelangelo. It takes fifteen minutes to get arguably the best view of the city.

Head back to the apartment to sip a glass of Chianti and relax. Sink into the sofa as you deliberate dinner – will it be pizza or pasta?
