Do you have a question about this home or the local area?
In a quiet neighbourhood that Galileo once called home, we think this split-level apartment is out of this world. Warm and inviting, the built-in bookcases and cosy fireplace make for a peaceful spot to rest your legs after a day out and about in Florence. The French doors in the living room show off the tree-lined street, while upstairs, the views overlook the city's medieval walls. While the living room feels rustic and cosy, the kitchen is fully modernised and comes with everything you need to whip up a feast. For a relaxing evening in, we recommend snuggling on the sofa with a glass of wine and an engrossing read, though it will be hard to resist a twilight stroll around the city. Across the river, the famous Duomo is a thirty-five-minute walk, though we think you'll prefer the views from Piazzale Michelangelo, which is just a ten-minute bus ride.

Much less dense than the areas directly next to the river, it's a different feel to, but still not far from, the historical centre. The Torre del Gallo, which sits on top of a ridge overlooking Florence, is a highlight – you get some beautiful panoramic views over the red rooftops of the...
