You'll need to bring some of the basics like toiletries and bin bags, especially for longer stays, but there's no shortage of shops right on your doorstep for stocking up on whatever you need. An array of restaurants and the grandiose Pitti Palace are within easy walking distance, and you won't be far from public transport to see the sights of this historic city.
