Do you have a question about this home or the local area?
Home of an architect, Alberata Selva has been meticulously designed to a coherent theme, and anything that doesn’t fit has been jettisoned. It’s the sort of obsession we understand. The flat itself is fairly large anyway, but it’s worth knowing that it would be excellent for very big groups, as both other places on the same floor of the building are run by Daniele and his team. If all booked together, they could take as many as sixteen guests at once.

You might not get an in-person check-in, but if that’s the case there’s a system to do it all remotely
The flat is on the third floor of a building without a lift – get ready for some stairs
When we tested the wi-fi, it wasn't especially strong or fast
All of the windows are single-glazed, so you might hear some noise come from below
None of the bedrooms have wardrobes, as none could be found that fit the aesthetic of the place
The floor of the shower in the small bedroom can get quite slippery

About Pitti
Unsurprisingly, Pitti stretches from the Palazzo Pitti – a Renaissance palace housing a vast European art collection – up to the river. Historically a working-class neighbourhood, today it’s full of boutique and artisan shops, leftovers from the tradesmen who used to inhabit the streets.
