The farmhouse comprises five bedrooms that can sleep up to 10 guests, with three en-suites, one family bathroom, a large farmhouse-style kitchen with an Aga and electric cooker and hob, formal dining room seating up to 12 guests, several reception rooms, a wood burner and a grand piano, games room, small conservatory area, fast WiFi, central heating and electricity included, bed linen and towels provided, utility room with washing machine and tumble drier, large fridge and fridge freezer, private tennis court, cot and high chair available on request, and well-behaved pets are welcome (max 2).
Honeymead is situated on a 1,000 acre estate owned by the Waley-Cohen family since the early part of the last century. In addition to a large garden, the farmhouse benefits from extensive views over the estate and beyond. Visitors can enjoy walking over the estate to join public footpaths along the River Barle, which flows from Simonsbath towards Landacre Bridge and the village of Withypool.
The property is approximately one hour's drive from the beautiful surfing beaches of North Devon, including Woolacombe, Croyde, and Putsborough, making it a great day out. Sailing and water activities are also available at Wimbleball Lake.
Dogs are welcome by prior arrangement (maximum of 2). There is no additional charge for pets, but please do not allow them on the furniture or upstairs and do not leave them alone in the property at any time. If they cause any damage, there will be a charge. Thank you for your cooperation.
Facilities
The large very well equipped kitchen is in the centre of the house - it is an 'eat-in' kitchen with an AGA- style stove, plus electric oven and hob, microwave, dish-washer and fridge/freezer and a breakfast table. There is a large utility room equipped with a washing machine, tumble dryer and large fridge. Adjacent to the farmhouse kitchen is the formal dining room which is ideal for those special dining occasions.
There are number of very comfortable reception rooms, one with a grand piano as well as a separate television room. There is a large well equipped games room and a sunny conservatory with French doors leading outside
There are five bedrooms; 3 are double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms (two of which have their own dressing room areas), plus there are two twin rooms which share a fourth bathroom.
One of the en-suite double bedrooms is on the ground floor with level access.
Electricity and heating costs are included in the price of your accommodation. Honeymead Farmhouse has central heating fitted throughout, which can be adjusted to suit your preferences. There is also a wood-burning fire in the sitting room. Logs, kindling and matches will be provided.
Bed linen and towels are provided for your convenience, but please bring your own outdoor/beach towels if you wish to take them on day trips with you.
Tea, coffee and sugar will be provided for arrival. There may also be other non-perishable items like a salt, pepper and oil available. Household sundries such as toilet rolls, washing-up liquid, tea towels will also be available.

Location
Exmoor is situated in South West Britain, specifically across West Somerset and North Devon. Often referred to as England's best kept secret, Exmoor is a wonderful holiday destination for anyone looking for a holiday in the great outdoors! There's so much to see and do, from short walks to long expeditions across the moors or horse riding, taking in a safari or sight-seeing at your own pace around the 'picture postcard' villages and hamlets.
Exmoor is ideal for country enthusiasts with rural and county shows, horse shows and gymkhana, Golden Horseshoe Ride in May, Exford Show, Dunster Country Fair and Dunster Show being just a few. Exmoor is ideal riding country with many miles of bridleways Walking, mountain biking shooting and fishing are all available in the area during your stay.
There are plenty of interesting places to visit during your stay including Tarr Steps near Winsford, the popular country towns of Dulverton and South Molton, West Somerset Steam Railway, National Trust properties including Dunster Castle, Arlington Court, Knightshayes and many more. The surfing beaches of North Devon are easily reached and the South West Coastal Path and Coleridge Way.
