Coastal Rusticana

On the quiet south coast of Ibiza, this rustic villa feels a world away from the beach clubs and buzzing streets of Ibiza Town (but it’s about ten miles away if you do want a taste of the nightlife). This villa embraces the slow pace of village life, surrounded by a scattering of houses on the hillside and looking out to sea.

We love the rustic aesthetic here, in the gnarled old wood beams, white-washed ceilings and bamboo thatch of the covered terrace. Out here, you’ve got a summer kitchen for big group meals outdoors. Though the professional grade kitchen in sleek chrome inside does the job as well. Tiers of terraces are ensconced in greenery, and you’ll find loads of seating nooks – shaded and in the sun. The first-floor terrace is home to a chill-out lounge area, and the lower terrace has a fabulous infinity pool looking out over the hills to the sea.

Though the white-washed ceilings and wood beams inside are all country-chic, there’s something sleek and modern about the decor. The brick fireplace surrounded by books is pure rusticana in the living room, but the shimmering, poured-concrete floors and crisp white walls add the modernity. Bedrooms are quiet havens for peaceful sleep and the main ensuite comes with an indulgent stone bathtub for long soaks.
