Friends and families will enjoy staying in this beautiful and characterful stone built former schoolhouse, perfect for discovering the attractions and outdoor activities of Snowdonia National Park. The property is one of over 200 listed buildings in Dolgellau, the highest concentration in any Welsh town. Meander through the narrow lanes and squares with a selection of independent cafes, restaurants and shops. There is so much to see and do within 10 miles of the doorstep. This stunning location has numerous walking and cycling trails including the Mawddach Trail (there is a town bicycle hire, should you wish to do the trail by bike). You could climb the Cader Idris range, take the water taxi between the beautiful beaches at Fairbourne and Barmouth, and go underground on an immersive tour through the legends and myths of Wales at King Arthur s Labyrinth. Walk into this gorgeous former schoolhouse dating back to the late 1700s and enjoy original features throughout, including a spectacular 12 foot tall sash window which spans all three storeys of the property, flagstone floors, exposed beams, a solid oak bedroom wall and huge inglenook fireplace. The interiors are full of interesting features, antique furniture, textiles and lighting, much of which is local to the area. The stylish kitchen, with access to the attractive rear garden, is a lovely space with all the equipment you need to get creative with local produce purchased from the town. When the meal is ready, walk through to the lounge/diner to gather around the dining table which is the perfect setting by the window. There is also a utility room nearby. When the meal is finished, relax on the comfortable sofas, watch a film on the Smart TV or light the wood burner for cosy nights in. When ready for bed, there are three unique bedrooms to choose from; on the first floor is the double and a stylish shower room, up on the second floor is another double with feature oak wall, a beautiful bathroom and a single. There are lovely views over the town to wake up to. Outside, step into a stone walled garden with feature planting in the enclosed space. You can relax and dine alfresco with the table, chairs, charcoal BBQ and gazebo to make the most of weather, while listening to the gentle sound of the River Arran which flows just behind the property.
