Lovers of history will want to visit the many castles in the area; including Raby, Auckland, and Barnard (all within 16 miles), while Durham s charming city centre is only 11 miles away. For an interesting afternoon out, head to the majestic Bowes Museum (16.5 miles) for a vibrant range of events and exhibitions, and to explore the pleasant gardens, woodlands, and picnic areas. A bespoke wooden staircase leads to the balconied entrance of this gorgeous, cosy getaway for two. Before stepping in, take a moment to soak in the incredible scenery that surrounds this property, offering far reaching countryside views at every turn of the head.
