Crickhowell, with its bustling high street running down to the idyllic River Usk, is a great base for outdoor enthusiasts, with fantastic cycling and walking in the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons.

Cross the historic bridge over to the neighbouring village of Llangattock and you'll find the Brecon and Monmouth Canal, with the recently restored towpath great with a bike or for a relaxing amble. Tackle the heights of The Sugar Loaf, The Blorenge, Table Mountain and over to Llangattock Mountain before returning to quench your thirst in one of the many watering holes.
