This picturesque area is famed for its relaxed pace and wonderful walks in all directions. The Crickhowell Walking Festival is a highlight of the local calendar every March. This is an excellent area for cycling, mountain biking, horse riding, sailing, fishing, caving and more. Nearby attractions include the Brecon Beacons National Park, Craig y Nos Country Park, the Brecon Mountain Railway, South Wales Borderers Museum and The National Showcaves of Wales. Other events include the Hay Festival of Literature and the Brecon Jazz Festival. You can visit some of the many historic houses, gardens and castle, with Tretower Court and Castle less than 3 miles away. On entering this delightful and spacious traditional property, which retains much original charm and character with original oak beams, exposed stone and wooden flooring, you will find yourself in the bright and welcoming open plan dining area, a great space to enjoy an evening meal, leading off the dining area you will find the lounge which has been tastefully furnished and completed with TV, DVD and CD.
