Hidden away in the Shropshire Hills, only 6.5 miles from the pretty village of Clun, this 200 year old rustic eco cottage offers a true escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The property stands alone on a hill with spectacular views over the Clun Valley. Sat on an organic working farm, this cottage is environmentally friendly and entirely self sufficient the water is heated by solar panels and the wood burner when in use, and electricity is supplied by the wind turbine you see from the garden. Pick up the historic Offa s Dyke Path from the doorstep and you re only a few miles from the Shropshire to Wales border. The charming towns of Bishops Castle (8.5 miles), Newtown (11 miles), Knighton (14 miles) and Ludlow (24 miles) have an abundance of character and history to explore, along with the convenience of pubs, shops and eateries. Stepping through the stable door at the front of the property, you ll enter the main living space a cosy nook with original stone floors and chimney breast, housing a traditional wood burner that takes centre stage. A comfortable three seater sofa and chair surround the fire, perfect for chilly winter nights and gathering for late night conversations. There is also a small TV with a DVD player hung in the corner of the room, with a selection of DVDs and books to choose from. Take a small step into the kitchen where there is a good size oak dining table with seating for four, and the kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, gas oven with grill (to do your toast) as well as ample space for you to cook up quality meals for everyone comfortably. Off the kitchen is where you ll find the family bathroom complete with WC, basin, and walk in shower. You can also enter the property through the side of the house from the patio and garden area into the kitchen. Upstairs there are two spacious and comfortable bedrooms, decorated in neutral tones and displaying quirky original features. Both the double and twin bedrooms offer stunning views of the surrounding farmland from the windows. Outside in the adjacent outbuilding, guests also have access to their own private games room with a pool table, table tennis, dartboard, and table football. There is some additional seating in the outbuilding, and the views from the window are spectacular it s a fun space to create even more memories with your loved ones! The grounds of the cottage are private and closed off by a gate to the rear of the property. On those spring/summer evenings, pull out the BBQ and dine alfresco on the terrace or simply enjoy your morning coffee on the bench listening to the sound of birds as they gather around the feeder. Observe the incredible sunsets and sunrises over the horizon and with zero minimal light pollution in the area, you really feel the magic of this special place as the stars and moon come out. Feel free to wander the many acres of surrounding farmland and as they rear traditional Highland and Hereford cattle, Berkshire pigs and Hill Radnor sheep, there is also the opportunity to learn more about this diversified organic farm that has been in the owner s family since the Victorian
