One of the best if not the best location in Crantock with the property over-looking at the sea and beach - truly amazing views.
House is well equipped and very comfortable. Lovely gardens and plenty of room on the driveway for 2 cars.
House was spotless when we arrived receiving great communication from the property manager from start to finish.
Would highly recommend to anyone who wants to get away from it all.

"Property was outstanding."
Ideal for family's and couples. Excellent facilities. Good location for exploring New Quay etc. with Crantock beach and walks a few minutes away. Lovely views of the sea and a lovely village with two pubs 3 minutes walk away. The Cornishman and The Old Albion. Food in both but The Old Albion outstanding. Pizza place and cafe. Local shop and post office. The only drawback as stated is that if you have a standard car the access road to house is not suitable. It needs levelling out as grass verge higher than tracks either side and a few large pot holes make it harder to negotiate. We managed but not ideal. Overall fantastic.

"We had a superb week at Kareena, ideal for an extended family; we were six adults and two children."
We found Kareena clean, spacious and well equipped with everything we needed. It is in a stunning location with great views and beach and coastal walks close at hand. We took some toys with us but it was lovely to find a selection of toys and jigsaws for different ages in the toy cupboard. So much thought had gone into the detail. Pauline was friendly and helpful and it was great to arrive to lovely scones, jam and clotted cream. All this plus comfy beds! Thank you for a brilliant stay.

"We were a family of 6 adults and 2 children and spent Christmas 2023 at Kareena."
It was the best Christmas ever and we thoroughly enjoyed the house. It had everything we could possibly need, was ideally situated and the house was big enough to accommodate all of us. A short walk to the beach , although you had to negotiate the sand dunes which were a bit tricky. The local pub served excellent food and it was only a short drive into Newquay.

"We were 4 adults and 2 children aged 11 and 6 and the property was ideal for us."
It had everything we needed and any questions we had were answered very quickly by the property manager. Its location was ideal and we absolutely loved the views - despite the November storm.
The track to get to the property was a bit tricky at times.
Would happily stay here again if we visit this part of the country again.

"Kareena is in a wonderful location, with a large and light open plan area downstairs which really helps you to relax."
The house was really comfortable and great for our multi generational family; the wonderful beach, the village store, local pub and pizzeria (Jam Jar) were particularly enjoyed.
A new dedicated EV charger was also really helpful, as this took way any ‘range anxiety’ and meant we could start our journey home ‘fully charged’.

"We had a fantastic stay!"
We booked again for next year as soon as we got home.
The house had everything we needed, stair gates and high chairs are provided on request and although we brought toys with us, there are plenty there for children to use. We brought a thick play mat with us to lay down on the floor for the children to play on and there's plenty of space between the two sofas for this.
We had little ones with us so we walked down to the the road to access crantock beach via the car park, which is a much easier route rather than over the dunes which are a short walk from the house.
We would recommend the Bowgie Inn for food with children, either walk along the coastal path or if you have push chairs, you can go by road, which although doesn't have much footpath is fine and we encountered little traffic.
Another great treat was to dine at the lewinnick Lodge, stunning views and great food!
We can't wait to come back next year! Thank you!

"Been visiting Crantock for years but this was the first time we have stayed at Kareena."
Truly stunning property with probably the best view of Crantock beach you will get. The house is very comfortable and well equipped for a family holiday. When we arrived the property was well presented, very clean with some nice touches such as home made scones being left for us.
Our young children absolutely loved our week away. Kareena has provided family memories money can't buy - we would highly recommend Kareena to anyone who wants to get away from it all. We can't wait to return.

"Amazing house and location."
The views are wonderful, the walk down to the beach is very short with a very steep path down the sand dunes to an absolutely huge beautiful beach when the tide is out. There is so much to do around Newquay even in winter, we were out every day. Thank you for the lovely treats on arrival. The house has everything you could possibly need without being cluttered and stayed warm in the nearly artic conditions we encountered. It is all hard flooring so slightly noisy when walking around. The only suggestion would be a rug or two in the bedrooms and tv room as we had a 3 year old and 3 month old so were doing a lot of sitting and kneeling on the floors for playing and dressing etc, although not sure if this is possible with underfloor heating. We didn’t want to leave and will hopefully be back!

"What a fantastic house and wonderful location."
Directions to the house were spot on. The welcome pack was gratefully received after a long journey. There were only a couple of things that I would think would make it even better and that was that the kitchen windows could have done with a clean outside as the view is outstanding but couldn’t see much from these windows. The beds were very firm. But really these weren’t spoilers just some feedback.
We loved our stay and the home was perfect for all our needs.

"Perfect all round."
Minor point - more loo rolls please. Not enough for all of us for a week. And did expect shampoo etc but that only took a quick trip to the shop so no big concern. i don't bring these items from Australia!
Loved it all so many thanks to Pauline and owners for allowing me and friends to have such a memorable and amazing time.

"I've admired Kareena's location and look during regular stays in Crantock and finally got to stay!"
I wasn't disappointed. The views over the dunes to the beach and Goose rock from pretty much every room are wonderful. Knowing the area meant we knew how well located the house is - although you need to drive very carefully on approaching it (expected)! Within easy walking distance of the coast path and all the other wonderful facilities Crantock can offer. The house is spacious and well equipped. Two bathrooms upstairs with another shower room downstairs needs careful coordination when all four bedrooms are occupied, but they were all clean and well equipped. Lovely outdoor space, just a bit windy during our stay (not really a spoiler though). Would I stay again? Absolutely!

"A great place for a family holiday."
Fantastic views, a good kitchen with plenty of crockery and utensils. Good sized bedrooms and the bathrooms had good showers with ample hot water for our family of 9. Walkable to the beach, either over the dunes or slightly longer down the road to the car park past all the queuing cars waiting to get in! Pauline was quick to answer any queries we had. The only slight negative was the tv is in a small room with seating for 5. We were blessed with good weather so not an issue for us. Overall we had a fantastic holiday and would book again for next year if someone hadn't beaten us to it.

"Kareena is a beautiful house."
Clean, spacious and extremely comfortable. The location and views are spectacular. It was extremely well equipped inside and the only thing missing for us were some comfortable lounging chairs in the garden.

The pictures don’t do this place justice. It is the perfect location, in the nicest village in Cornwall in my opinion. We were amazed on arrival and still left amazed that we’d even stayed there! Couldn’t recommend enough!

"Kareena is a beautiful house in a stunning location."
Cleanliness is of a high standard.
However my only negative feedback is that prices for weekly rental have increased massively since Sykes have taken over management of this property and the house is becoming much more expensive than other houses of the same size in the area.

"Kareena is a stunning property with the most amazing views of Crantock beach."
It is in a perfect location, being just a short stroll from the beach in one direction and the cosy and welcoming village pub in the other. The house is well equipped with everything you could possibly need and property manager is friendly and helpful. We did have a problem with the heating but this was sorted out promptly. The house was plenty spacious enough for our family group of 8 and we felt instantly relaxed upon arrival. We loved it so much that we have already booked again for next year!

"Kareena is a lovely spacious house with wonderful views (when the sea mist stayed away)."
The dunes are very steep to the beach at the end of the footpath especially coming back up with a pushchair but we managed it and the last part of the track to the house is tricky in places. The facilities in the house were very good and Crantock is a lovely village, the church is worth visiting.

The property
Kareena, which must be the most talked about house in Crantock.
Kareena is in the most outstanding location, positioned at the end of Green Lane with an amazing view to the dunes, Crantock Beach and the sea beyond.

CRANTOCK
Newquay 4.5 miles.
Crantock is a small Cornish village, just a short walk from the beach, close to the popular resort of Newquay. If you want to escape the crowds, yet still be close to the action, this is the place to be. There's stunning countryside all around and lots of pretty villages to explore; however, it is the coast that dominates. Enjoy superb walks along the coastal path over dramatic cliff-tops, or magnificent surfing on beaches stretching from Watergate Bay in the North to Fistral beach in the centre of Newquay and on down the coast. There are a number of golf courses in the area, as well as National Trust properties, traditional pubs and outstanding restaurants. Newquay itself is a visitor's paradise with a wide variety of shops, pubs and restaurants, plus attractions such as the Sea Life Centre, Newquay Zoo and nearby Dairyland and Eden Project.
