The Art Director is swanky in every way. A 1920s villa, it’s one of those homes that seems to have come straight out of an interior design magazine. Brimming with bright, natural light, it packs marble floors in the bathrooms, a regal staircase, and a mix of modern and classic design furniture. A family home with a capital F, it invites you to spend time with your loved ones – whether that’s in the garden, the home gym, the table tennis room, or the eye-catching dining room. Charlottenlund isn’t quite central Copenhagen (it’s more suburban), but it’s well-connected to the city centre by way of the S-train.

*Charlottenlund is not central – you have to take a train to get to the city centre, which takes about twenty-five minutes
*It’s a lived-in home – expect to share the home with the hosts’ belongings (toys, toiletries, clothes)
*Two out of the three bedrooms are set up for children
*If you’re staying for a longer period, the hosts would appreciate if you could help water the plants
*A cat usually lives at this property – it won’t be around during your stay, but it might be a problem for people with allergies
*There is a new home-gym with free weights, TRX, multi-purpose station, Waterrower and a spinning bike
