addremove
This wonderful wooden pod is situated in a unique rural location, accessed via a bridge crossing a stream, that it overlooks from its elevated position. It provides a relaxing retreat within the Shropshire Hills where you can walk, cycle or drive onto the Long Mynd. The National Trust owned Long Mynd has many small valleys, all with picturesque streams and footpaths to explore. Church Stretton (3 miles) has further walks and cycle routes, especially the renowned Cardingmill Valley, with its delightful waterfall not too far away. The town itself has a mix of independent shops, cafes and pubs to enjoy after an active day exploring the area. Don't miss a day trip to the UNESCO site at Ironbridge (17 miles) to learn about the history of the area where the Industrial Revolution began. The market town of Ludlow is also 17 miles away, with its attractive Tudor architecture and impressive castle. This couples retreat is set in a tranquil environment elevated above the Brook Cound, a tributary of the River Severn. The pod offers an off the beaten track experience and an opportunity to get away from it all and enjoy the sound of the stream and watch the wonderful wildlife. It is one of two properties on this estate, which can be booked together, but enjoys its own space. Climb the steps to the decking and head into the open plan living space. The pod has a double bed, and a separate seating area to enjoy a movie on the Smart TV. The kitchenette is equipped to ensure you have all you need to be able to self cater during your stay. The shower room is perfect to make sure you are nice and refreshed after a walk in the hills. The pod enjoys an elevated position and is surrounded by decking with outdoor furniture that is perfect for a morning coffee or dining alfresco. The area below the pod sits alongside the stream and provides an excellent spot to enjoy a picnic or make use of the charcoal BBQ with a newly constructed wooden pergola to enjoy the outside year round. Parking for the property is at the gateway to the pod off the main track, so you will be required to walk across the bridge and up the steps to the pod with your luggage. Bring your bikes and secure them in the bike store.
