Walk to Embleton Bay and the ancient ruins of Dunstanburgh Castle. Visit Craster (9 miles), famous for smoked kippers and seafood eateries. Stunning Beadnell Bay and its village amenities lie to the north (6 miles) with a beachside café, shop, pub/restaurants, and a Café/Bistro. Discover the historic Alnwick Castle (8.5 miles), and enchanting Alnwick Garden (9 miles), and visit Holy Island, Lindisfarne (20 miles), with its tidal causeway, striking priory ruins, and serene beaches. Enter this delightful stone barn conversion and you will find yourself in one of the two lounges. The first, on the ground floor, is a heated conservatory style space with comfortable seating where you can relax and enjoy a view of the garden. Choose a title from the well stocked bookcase to browse through during your stay or sit at the bistro table with your morning coffee to watch the visiting birds. There is also a DVD player and a digital radio in this room for your entertainment. French doors open to the garden for indoor/outdoor living in the summer months. A second set of French doors leads into the farmhouse style kitchen/diner with exposed beams and an attractive stone floor where you can sit together at mealtimes. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare a range of meals and there is a useful boot room/utility with a washer/dryer, a Belfast sink, coat hooks, and a shoe rack. Staying on the ground floor, you will find a king size bedroom with dual aspect windows offering garden views, and two easy chairs so you can relax and unwind before bedtime with a hot chocolate. The ground floor shower room has a shower cubicle and WC. Head upstairs for the light and airy second lounge with countryside views through the windows. There are two comfortable leather sofas and a couple of large, leather bean bags to relax on while you watch a movie on Smart TV, and the wood burner adds to the cosy, cottage atmosphere. The three further bedrooms are on this floor; a king size bedroom with dual aspect windows and plenty of storage space, a twin bedroom, and a fourth bedroom with a single day bed. There is a TV and DVD player in this room too, along with a range of family films, and a nearby toy cupboard making this a lovely space for children to enjoy some time away from the adults. The family bathroom completes the accommodation comprising a bath with a shower attachment and WC. Outside, to the rear, there is a mature garden enclosed by beautiful original stone walls and with garden furniture where you can enjoy alfresco drinks and a BBQ in warmer months.
