Hidden away in a hillside forest reserve with a gorgeous view of the intensely blue Tyrrhenian Sea stretching out ahead of you, this Sicilian cottage is the ideal place to unwind and recharge your batteries. Outside, there are so many relaxing spots, from the cabana day bed and covered outdoor kitchen to the swimming pool complete with a hammock hanging just above.

It's plain to see that most of your time here will be spent out in the open air, but the home's interior is just as idyllic. Although it has been recently refurbished, local design traditions have been respected, as seen with the chestnut wood ceiling beams, clay tiles and walls adorned with Sicilian artwork — much of which is for sale should anything catch your eye.

Although it's possible to do nothing more strenuous than sunbathe, your host can organise a range of activities with which to fill your itinerary, ranging from a sea cruise and cooking classes to outdoor massages and movie nights. The seaside town of Cefalù only takes ten minutes to reach in the car, too.
