This villa sits on a wine estate in the Chianti Hills, where the vines have been owned and tended to by the same family since 1865. If you’re not exploring the rolling, vine-clad hills of the grounds, Castellina in Chianti is a ten-minute drive away where you can dine at farm-to-table restaurants and explore Etruscan history. Siena is a half-hour drive away too, ideal for a day trip.

Set in perfect seclusion, you can catch a quiet moment on one of several terraces and patios dotted around the villa. There’s wrought-iron furniture for dining alfresco or settling down with a good book, and you’ll find a turquoise rectangle of swimming pool set into the manicured lawn. For an ultimate day of relaxation, head to the on-site spa with its loungers and sauna.

Inside, the villa is typically Tuscan, with wide archways opening up the living spaces on the ground floor. The main kitchen is a vision of farmhouse rusticana, with its old hearth still on display. The main lounge is downstairs, set around an old stone fireplace, but there are a couple more seating nooks upstairs for those that enjoy a bit of privacy. There’s also a second kitchen on the first floor if you really want to spread out.
